| Here is a simple way to create Grunge in PhotoImpact.
This picture is from PI's Fill Gallery.
(Use any picture to create a background pattern.)
Use the Magic Wand and select a section
(or sections) to that will give you a base pattern for your background. (Use the +
key for multiple selections).
Once you have a pattern, drage it off
onto a new canvas. Fill the pattern with black. Merge All.
Go to Effect/Artistic/Painting.
Click on Load so the paint templates will show thumbnails of the different effects.
On this particular pattern I used Paint
Template 35 with Pattern 21.
Apply some text. Merge All.
On this example I used Paint Template 20, Pattern 22. This is the final
result.
With a little playing around you can
get some great "Grungy" effects, whether for text, a background, or both.
