Importing .UFOs: You can
import .ufo's into Gif Animator 5. By using the Object Manager, you can hide grouped
.ufos for different effects. Transparency: You can
manually set the transparency of an object or text in the Object Manager by clicking on
the object or text and setting the transparency.
Jaggies and White Pixels:
When attempting to make an animation with a transparent background you may get white
pixels. One way around this is to make sure you set "Soften" from
"1" to "0". When making an individual path object the Soften is
blocked out. When you merge two or more objects as a single object, you will note
the Soften at "1". Setting Soften to "0" will remove
those nasty white pixels.
Comment Block Information: If
you want to add a Comment Block with your animation, click on the Optimize Tab. Click on
"Show/Hide Optimize Panel" located above the main canvas (second to last icon).
Go to Advanced and uncheck "Remove Comment Block". Click on the Edit
Tab. Click on the Global Information Icon. Add your comment(s) in the box and
click ok. You can put copyright information, etc. here.
Looping: If you don't
want infinite looping, repeat the steps above for Comment Block and uncheck infinite and
set the amount of times you want the frames to run.
Previewing: You can
preview your animation while staying in Edit Mode by clicking on the play arrow in the
frame panel.
Editing: You can right
click on the frame panel, selected object(s) on your canvas, and in the Object
Manager for a list of commands to edit in lieu the Tool Bar.
UGA File Format: Saving
in .uga file format allows you to retain all the object information contained in your
animation and allows you to edit in Gif Animator.
UFO File Format: UFO File Saves
the file in the UFO file format, retaining the object information, and can be edited
in PhotoImpact.
Exe., HTML, Flash, .Avi Files And
Desktop Themes: You can save your animations as .exe files, desktop themes,
flash files, .avi files and in html by going to file, export or save as.
Undo Levels: As in
PhotoImpact, you can set the level of undos in Gif Animator up to 50 in Preferences.
Image Editing: You can
import a frame into PhotoImpact, or your favorite image editor, by clicking on the
Favorite Image Editor icon on the standard toolbar.
Aligning Objects: When
working with objects you can move or align them precisely frame by frame by clicking on a
frame and clicking on the object on the canvas. In the Object Manager the object
will be highlighted. Right click the highlighted object in the Object Manager and go
to Object Properties. Click on Position and Size and set the Left and Top
positions. This is handy for when you want to overlay an object in the exact
position of the previous frame(s) or if you want to move them in increments.
Pasting: Instead of
saving each frame and importing them with the animation wizard, you can copy and paste
them into Gif Animator. This will also dramatically reduce the size of your
animation.
