| This is an overview of Gif Animator 5 to help you familiarize yourself with the
layout, tools and functions.
The first image you'll see
upon opening Gif Animator 5 is the Startup Wizard.

You can eliminate the Startup
Wizard by checking off the "Do not show this dialogue box next time" box. If you
decide you want it back upon opening the program, you can go to File, Preferences and in
the General category, check Enable Startup Wizard.
Gif Animator 5 has a Preference
settings. As noted above, go to File, Preferences. You can add third party plugins
and change the default settings to suite your needs.

Below is an overview of the layout
and tools in Gif Animator 5.

The Standard
Toolbar and Tool Panel are similar to that of PhotoImpact.
A great new feature is the Favorite Image Editor which will import frames into
PhotoImpact for editing.
The Object Manager
is similar to PhotoImpact's Layer Manager. You can manage, change the order of and
hide objects. You can "arrange" objects by dragging within in the Object
Manager. You can also arrange objects by using the Order Tool in the Attribute Toolbar.
Attribute Toolbar
is where you can align your objects. You'll find it similar to PhotoImpact. By
using the Order Tool you can arrange your objects.
The Frame Panel
has shortcuts to play your animation, add, duplicate and delete frames, etc. By right
clicking on a frame you can change your frame properties (timing, order, duplicate a
frame, etc.).
Activate an object on your
canvas and right click. Here you will find more commands.
I hope you've found this
tutorial helpful.
