Open a new image with a black background 315 x 236.  Go to Photo/Enhance/Moon.  Use the settings in the screenshot below.

Moon Effects Settings

You should have a moon with a halo effect as shown in the screenshot below.

moon with halo

Using the Path Tool, create a black circle approximately 47 x 47 or just enough so that it covers the moon, leaving the halo effect around it.  See screenshot below.

Do not merge.  Save this image as a ufo as you will be animating this in Gif Animator 5.

Open Gif Animator 5 and open the ufo image you just created.  In the Object Manager Panel you'll see your base white moon image as well as the black path moon image you created.  Click on the black moon path.  Now click on the first frame.  Position the black moon to the lower left hand corner of the base image as shown below.

Positioning

Duplicate Frame 1.   With the moon path still highlighted, click on Center Both.

Positioning

Duplicate this frame.   Now position the black moon path to the upper right hand corner as shown below.

Positioning

Return to Frame 1 and click on Tween.  Make sure the black moon path is selected in the Object Manager.   Use the settings below, inserting 60 frames as we want the movement to be very slow.  Use a frame delay of 10.

Tweening

You now have a total of 63 frames.  To complete the second part of the tweening, highlight Frame 62.  Click on Frame 62 and make sure the black moon path is selected in the Object Manager.   Change "Start from frame" to 62 and "End in frame" to 63.   Keep the other settings as you did in the first part of your tweening.

You now have a total of 123 frames.  This seems like a lot but you want the animation to move slowly. Optimize your image and you'll see that this animation is not as huge as you would think for so many frames.

Here is another example using a star background.  The animation was also cropped.

I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial.
