Download
the zip file with the book .ufo into a folder. Click on the .ufo and it will import
into PhotoImpact as in the image on the left. This tutorial teaches the basics
of the pages "flipping". Add a fill, gradient, pattern, whatever you like
to jazz up your book. |
 |
While
holding down the Ctl key, click on the pages marked by arrows shown to the left and drag
these off onto a new canvas. |
 |
FRAME
1 Your image should look
like this. This will be your first frame. Right click and Merge All.
Click OK. Save this as Frame 1. |
 |
FRAME
2 Click undo.
Remove the bottom right curved page and place the right top curved page as shown.
Save this as Frame 2. |
 |
FRAME
3 Click undo and remove
the right top curved page from your canvas. Place the top left curved page as
shown. Save this as Frame 3. |
 |
FRAME
4 Click undo and remove
the top left curved page from your canvas. Place the top bottom right page as shown
in Frame 1. Add the left bottom curved page. Your image should look like
this. Save this as Frame 4. |
 |
Open
Gif Animator. Using the Animation Wizard, set the canvas to 254x211 (the same size
as your .ufo canvas). Browse to the folder where you saved your frames.
Holding down the Ctl key, click on Frame 4, 3, 2 and 1. Click Next. Set the
delay time to 18. Click Next. Click Finish.
In the Frame Panel, double click on
Frame 4. The Frame Properties box will appear. Set the delay time to
25. Preview your animation. If satisfied, save your animation by going to File
Optimization Wizard. Depending upon your fill/color, reduce the number of colors to
reduce the size of the file size. Be careful not to sacrifice too much as you don't
want your image to appear too "grainy". Once you're satisfied, Save As. |

Reducing the image size,
this could be used as a guest book.
I hope you've enjoyed this
tutorial. |
